When we begin any new physical practice, start a new diet, try a new product we have this beginners mind. We are happy, excited, we feel light and full of promise.

There is a lightness of step, a smile and a feeling of excitement. If you look in the mirror you will see in the split second the person you are trying to be, interesting because you are alreay there. When you feel good, excited, enthusiastic your entire physical persona changes. You face and skin look brightened, less lined. You walk taller with better posture, you feel like taking care of your body and so you eat better and in return gain health and the benefits of staying young.
I’m a big believer in kick start to get you back to feeling your way back to youth. How do you gain the feeling back to begin your journey?
- Start a physical practice – it could be a simple walk around the block, a yoga class, or playing at the park with your dog. Begin feeling movement. Try to catch yourself in the moment that you feel good and CLICK – take a mental snapshot. Hold on to that feeling. The goal is learning to extend that feeling to a minutes, an hour, a day and to the rest of your life.
- Start a new eating plan – It can be a simple as replacing 1 meal a day with something fresh and healthy. Replace every breakfast with fresh fruit & grains. See how your body feels, remember to “CLICK” the feeling. Don’t worry about the rest of the day start small and condition yourself to feel how this one simple change can make you feel healthy, stronger and full of promise.
- Do what you want – Seems a little vague? Not really. Think about doing something that makes you happy. It doesn’t have to beyour undying passion. It doesn’t have to make you over the top excited, it just has to make you feel content in the moment. Think of a time where you are not stressed with thought of worry, aging, finances etc… For some of us its reading a book, taking a walk, shopping, playing sports. Whatever it is make a date to do 1 hour a week – remember “CLICK” take a snapshot of how you feel when you are doing it. Next extend it to twice a week, then once a day. Seems challenging? Don’t you deserve 1 hour a week? After all it’s part of your anti-aging plan.
