The topic for this blog was suggested by one of my very dear friends. She is the kind of friend that gets up bright and early for cardio dates to help me prepare for competitions in the fitness industry. She does not compete, she does it just because.
She believes, and I agree, that people are misinformed and fear food. Her suggestion was that I tell everyone how much I eat in a day and they would be forced to reconsider there misconceptions. So here goes …
I eat between 2,300 and 2,500 calories per day and I am not fat. I make healthy choices and I exercise. I choose to eat lean, healthy proteins, ample vegetables, healthy fats and healthy carbohydrates.
I am not suggesting that everyone should intake as many calories as I do. We are all different and it is important to find the formula that works for our body, mind and soul. My message is that whatever formula we choose has to include well balanced meals and sufficient food. Food does not equal fat. That is dictated by the choices that we make. Make healthy choices and I guarantee you will feel better about yourself.
