Day by Day
0Life in the senior lane
Getting older seems to just creep up on you. One minute you are in your twenties with your whole life ahead of you, and next you are a sixty-something and you wonder how many years you have left.
Like many aspects of life, much depends on your attitude. If you have determined that it is downhill from now on, then that is what it will be. On the other hand, if you have an active, full life and are determined to make the most of it, then likely you will live longer and be healthier.
I remember when I first turned sixty, it did feel like a wake-up call. I was in the third and last chapter of my life, and for a while that thought dragged me down, but not for long. After all, sixty is just a number and one that should not define who you are and what you do.
Once I realized this and changed my thinking, it was full speed ahead.
