Live authentically to you!
There is only one you and you are divinely perfect and totally awesome just as you are right now because God created you. It is impossible for you not to be perfect because God does not make mistakes. To live authentically you must embrace this fact and then take the time to meditate and truly get to know yourself. You cannot be authentic if you have not taken to time to get to know yourself. Often we are so pre-occupied with being the person we think other people will accept that we don`t really know ourselves at all.
I invite you to sit in a quiet, dimmed lit room. Turn off your phone and computer and any other possible distractions. Center yourself by focusing on your breath and then ask yourself the following questions:
What are your values? What are your passions? What is your purpose? How can you serve others? What are your needs? What are your strengths?
Be patient. Don`t force the answers or be irritated if they do not come immediately. Simply relax into your breath. The more you relax your mind the easier it will become to hear the answer.
Honor and embrace the answers you receive. You have many gifts and attributes to share with the world but can only do so when you are true to yourself first and foremost. Never worry about the opinions of others. A Course in Miracles teaches us that worry is a fear based thought and fear does not truly exist, it is simply a distorted way of thinking. Only love is real and love is the true essence of beauty. Self-love is beauty. Self-love will awaken the mind and the heart.
We are multi-dimensional beings yet we spend so much energy focusing on the physical aspect of our existence. The body is our instrument for the time we spend on this plane and it allows us to perform our purpose. It is the temple to which the mind and spirit reside and much gratitude should be expressed for carrying out its daily functions and allowing us to enjoy the vast pleasures of life.
It’s important to love your body and appearance just as it is. I understand this can be difficult with so much societal pressure threatening to disrupt self-esteem.
Thoughts like “My body is ugly” or “I’m not perfect the way I am” or “I’ll never be beautiful” or “It sucks to be a woman” can permeate our minds unless we program ourselves with healthy thoughts that affirm both our inner and outer beauty.
I invite you to look yourself in the eyes via your reflection and in the mirror and recite out loud the following affirmations:
“I am Beautiful“
“I Love being Me“
“I Love and Accept You“
Your best self has an appreciation for the beauty of this World, including your own.
The Divine loves you and is patiently waiting for you to have the courage to finally be yourself, to stop conforming to everyone else’s expectations and to have the courage to stand in the truth of you- Panache Desai
