4 Facial Yoga poses that will make you look 5-7 years younger

Want to look younger instantly? Without going for evasive and expensive procedures that are painful?

Facial yoga is an easy and quick way to reduce the depth of wrinkles and relax the expression lines on your face.  The idea behind facial yoga is working with facial muscles.

The face consists of 50 muscles layered like sheets.  These muscles can work on their own or together.  Creating facial expression.  Not only do these muscles allow you to express emotion, they are a major factor in the shape and contour of your face.  Facial exercises will help maintain a more youthful appearance.

With the following techniques you can tone and relax facial muscles, to smoothen expression lines that develop over years of gravity.  Relaxing muscles where we have tension counteracts the habit wrinkle causing movements we make daily.

Regular facial yoga ensures the muscles to be firm.  It is these muscles that support your skin and prevent drooping.  The exercises also act as a massage to increase blood flow and circulation through the meshwork of muscle which in turn, counteracts wrinkles.

Reduce droopy lids

Reduce lines on the forehead

Soften crow’s feet

Loose skin tightens

Wrinkles and stress lines disappear

Exercise 1.  Reduce laugh lines and marionette lines with – Chipmunk cheeks

Take a breath then close your mouth and puff out the cheeks like a balloon. Repeat 5 times.  The action tones cheek muscles preventing them from looking hollow

Exercise 2.  Soften forehead lines and around the eyes – Look permanently surprised

Open your eyes as big as you can to lift the eyebrows, hold 5-7 seconds. Repeat 5 times.  Over time gravity affects the elasticity of muscles on the upper forehead and brows. Causing them to droop, making you look tired.  Exercise these muscles erases the effects of gravity

Exercise 3.  Lip lines- Pucker up

Suck in your cheeks to pucker up. Hold tight and try to smile.  This helps in reducing lines round the mouth and nose and keeps the lips full.

Look straight ahead.  Place your first 3 fingers on each hand and gently pull towards the temples and hold for 5 breaths. Repeat 4 times. Eventually you smooth the lines around the eyes, giving your an overall rested refreshed look.
